Arizona Adventure Engagement Session | Lauren & AJ

I’m so excited to share this session with you all as Lauren & AJ had one of the coolest adventure sessions in Arizona. These two flew out to Arizona from Indiana for their three-day adventure engagement session & it turned out absolutely perfect. Lauren & AJ are getting married in Indiana but wanted some different scenery for their engagement session. They decided on Arizona as they’d been there before & enjoyed it but hadn’t gotten to spend much time there. Being part of their adventure in this beautiful state & capturing a bit of their love story was such a cool experience!

Grand Canyon Snowfall

Day one of their adventure engagement session started with a surprise snowfall at Arizona’s Grand Canyon. We originally weren’t on getting any photos on the first day but with the snowfall & their wedding being in January we chose to take advantage of it. The snowfall made it hard to see the canyon itself, making it feel like we were in another world. Towards the end of the session, we took some photos on an empty road with these massive trees framing the whole scene. Canyon snowfall is just, wow.

Grand Canyon Sunset

The next day after Lauren & AJ spent the day together adventuring Arizona on their own it was time to head back to the Grand Canyon for Sunset. We had polar opposite weather this time as there was not a cloud in the sky. This meant we really got to take in the canyon in all of its glory. There was still some snow on the ground from the previous day which gave their photos such a fun winter feel. This combined with a beautiful sunset & the incredible views of the Grand Canyon & we really couldn’t have asked for a better day! We had one day left of their adventure engagement session which we decided to spend just an hour south at Sedona, Arizona.

The Red Rocks of Sedona

Even though Sedona was only an hour away from the Grand Canyon the temperature difference was huge which meant Lauren & AJ got to wear their summer outfits. For the last bit of their adventure engagement session, we hiked a trail near my Airbnb. We were able to get some photos with Arizona’s iconic red rocks in the background. Between the red rocks, the gorgeous sunlight & having the entire trail practically to ourselves it was the perfect way to cap off our final day together!

After Lauren & AJ’s adventure engagement session the two spent two more days together in Arizona exploring & enjoying some time together just the two of them. This session was seriously amazing & one of my favorites to date. There was so much variety throughout our three days together which made each day so exciting.
