I’ve been so excited to share this wedding with you all as Katie and Matt had THE most perfect wedding day. Their intimate wedding took place at Laurel Hall in Indianapolis. Laurel Hall is one of my favorite venues for a wedding in Indiana, and once you see Katie and Matt’s wedding day I’m sure you’ll understand why!
Getting Ready at Laurel Hall
The day started off with a bang as Katie had the absolute BEST hype crew in the form of her bridesmaids. They were so much fun to be around, you could tell the wedding was going to be a blast from the get-go. Katie and Matt got ready for their intimate wedding day in separate rooms at Laurel Hall. One of the many reasons I love this venue is it offers a wide variety of spaces for your ceremony, reception, getting ready, and everything in between.
First Look and Portraits
Once Katie and Matt were both dressed and ready they met up for their first look. Prior to the wedding day, I always check in with my couples to see if they have a specific spot in mind for moments like their first look. Laurel Hall had SO many beautiful options, and we ended up choosing this super cool space with all of these windows looking out over the estate.
I love when my couples have a first look on their wedding day, it’s such a sweet and intimate moment and theirs was no exception. After their first look, it was time for some couples and family portraits followed by some wedding party photos outside. Laurel Hall has so many gorgeous backdrops that we could have honestly spent all day taking portrait photos, but we had the rest of Katie and Matt’s intimate wedding to enjoy!
A Beautiful Ceremony
As we got to the ceremony space my jaw hit the floor. Laurel Hall’s ceremony space is perfect for an intimate wedding, and Katie and Matt’s setup was just the sweetest. Between the wood chairs, the white flower details and the gorgeous lighting we had it really couldn’t have been more beautiful. After their ceremony was finished and their marriage license was signed it was time for some quick portraits before the reception started.
Having portraits at different times of the day not only gives you a variety of wedding portraits, but it also gives you to have the opportunity to have more alone time together. Katie and Matt were able to explore Laurel Hall together and have some alone time before their reception began.
Time to Party
The reception space at Laurel Hall is truly beautiful and the perfect size for an intimate wedding like Katie and Matt’s. Throughout the day this was such a fun wedding to be a part of, but once the reception started the fun went up to the next level! The night started with some heartfelt toasts followed by great food and a gorgeous cake. After everyone had eaten it was time to get on the dance floor. Katie and Matt shared their first dance together followed by a dance with their parents. After that everyone let loose and let me tell you this was one of THE most fun receptions I’ve had the chance to photograph.
Being able to photograph Katie and Matt’s special day was such an amazing experience and one that I’m so glad I was a part of. These two are so much fun and their intimate wedding at Laurel Hall couldn’t have been more perfect.
