LGBTQ Wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis | Faith & Katie

Faith & Katie’s wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indy was an immeasurably wonderful day from start to finish. From the minute they began getting ready, until the last song finished on the dance floor, their day was jam packed with beautiful moments of joy that I’m so happy I had the opportunity to be a part of. Check out the highlights from their LGBTQ wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis as I relive one of my favorite weddings I’ve documented!

Getting Ready and First Looks

Faith & Katie’s day began with a quiet excitement as the two got ready separately in the company of their loved ones. A bit of champagne, tons of smiles, & an air of anticipation had everyone eager to celebrate the love of these two wonderful ladies. Once they were both ready for the day it was time for some first looks & portrait photos before the start of their ceremony. Both Faith & Katie shared first looks with their friends & family, but the most special moment thus far came from the first look between these two outside of the Scottish Rite Cathedral.

It was a beautiful & intimate moment for them to share before the excitement of the day took over, & they really made the most of it. After their first look we had some time to fit in wedding party portraits & family portraits before the start of their LGBTQ ceremony at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis began.

Their Ceremony at the Scottish Rite Cathedral

Faith & Katie’s made the perfect call in having their LGBTQ wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis. The venue is stunningly gorgeous, & provides the perfect mixture of New York class (where the two now live), with a bit of hometown comfort as Katie grew up in Indiana! Having their loved ones all gathered in a single beautiful space like this to celebrate the love between these two meant so much to both Faith & Katie. The room was practically radiating joy, & as Faith & Katie officially became newlyweds the two couldn’t help but bust out THE biggest smiles towards their loved ones.

Celebrating with Their Loved Ones

After signing their marriage license & catching up with a few of their friends & family, it was time to celebrate at their reception. The room was electric as the two made their entrance into the breathtaking reception space of the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Everyone was so excited to celebrate the evening, none more so than Faith & Katie themselves. After a lovely welcome speech, the two cut their cake together, which happened to feature a frosting version of their  fur-son Finn. This was just one of the many details & moments that made Faith & Katie’s LGBTQ wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis such a phenomenal experience. The rest of the night was filled with some great speeches, a ton of laughter, & an endless amount of dancing to the fantastic live band the two had booked.

Faith & Katie’s LGBTQ wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis is one I’m SO glad to have been a part of & one that I’ll be reliving in my head for years to come.
