Intimate Indiana Wedding at Liter House | Josie & Colton

FILED IN: Uncategorized

Josie & Colton put together an amazing wedding day experience that was so perfect for them. Their day was focused on celebration & making memories with those closest to them as they head into this next chapter of life together, just how they wanted it! Their intimate wedding took place at the Liter House in Broad Ripple Indiana which was the perfect space to celebrate their marriage.

About the Couple

Josie and Colton are one of the most down-to-earth & relaxed couples I’ve had the chance to work with. Their goal for their wedding day was for them to have a stress free day & for everyone to be able to let loose & celebrate their marriage, & they 100% succeeded! The two are parents to two French Bulldogs which they were able to include in small details throughout their intimate Indiana wedding which was an adorable touch to their day.

Getting Ready

We started off their intimate wedding day at their Indiana wedding venue, the Liter House.  The Liter House is the perfect intimate wedding venue for couples that want to keep things low-key throughout their day.  With their in-house catering, brews & cocktail bar, & getting ready spaces all within the building, there isn’t much to plan outside of some decorations for the blank canvas set up in the banquet hall.  Josie & her bridesmaids took their time getting ready while Colton & his groomsmen hung out by the bar area.  They shared drinks & laughs & took their time before it was time for Josie & Colton to have their first look & start their wedding portraits.

Their First Look & Portraits

We snuck around to the side of the Liter House to have a moment just the three of us, & so Josie & Colton could see each other for the first time on their wedding day.  The first look is one of my favorite moments on a wedding day, as it’s such a great time for the couple to get some time alone.  Colton’s face when he saw Josie for the first time melted my heart, as I’m sure it’s melting yours as you read over this blog post.

After Josie & Colton had some time alone together we called their wedding party over so we could take all their photos at once!  This is such a nice option for couples as it frees up time for them to really be present with their family & guests the rest of their weddings day.

Their Intimate Indiana Wedding

The Liter House has a nice set up for intimate weddings in that guests can sit at their tables during the couples indoor ceremony.  Not only does it make it easy for guests to see everything but, also makes it nice for going right into cocktail hour & dinner.  Guests can mix & mingle without the venue having to flip the room & relocate everyone.  Josie & Coltons’ ceremony was so sweet, & they were able to share a toast with all of their guests during the ceremony which I actually haven’t seen before!

Their Intimate Reception

After their ceremony Josie & Colton were able to spend time catching up & celebrating with their guests, as we had already finished all of the wedding portraits.  Soon after we sat down for dinner, & kicked off their reception with some first dances.  Their wedding guests were SO ready to celebrate them.  As soon as the dance floor opened up they were surrounded by their closest friends ready to party & have the best time celebrating the bride & groom.  After a couple of songs played Josie, Colton & I snuck out for some sunset portraits & some time alone together before we went back in to party!

Josie & Colton are the SWEETEST humans, & I am so happy I was able to be a part of their intimate Indiana wedding day. For more wedding day inspiration & tips on planning your own elopement or wedding, head to my blog where you’ll find my latest posts!
