Elopements + Intimate Weddings
And the meaning behind them both
You may be wondering what the difference between an elopement and an intimate wedding is, and which one is best for you and your needs. Usually what differentiates the two is the guest count as well as where it will all take place. An elopement is sometimes in a public location, like a national park for example and that will sometimes have restrictions when it comes to guest count. Elopements with me are 15 guests or less.
If you plan to have more guests, my intimate wedding package is for up to 50 people, and you may want to look into a smaller venue that will accommodate that. I can also help with your search for that if needed. My elopement packages are typically for four hours or less and my intimate wedding packages start at seven hours. If you’re still unsure which package is best suited for you, fill out my contact form and I’ll of course recommend that best package for your needs.

On the day of your elopement or intimate wedding, I’ll of course be your photographer but I will also be there however else you need too. I believe elopements and intimate weddings can be stress free, and if there’s any way I can help make that more possible, I will. I have a wedding planning past, so I’d love to be of assistance. I always scout locations and help with permits if needed as well. I can’t wait to capture your biggest adventure, and become great friends throughout the whole process.
The Process and how I do things
I am a firm believer that it takes more than good editing to be an amazing photographer. I want to document you as you truly are, that’s why you can expect detailed questionnaires from me, along with some funny gifs through text. Each moment I capture is so different because it’s an experience catered to who you are and your love story. I have custom guides for my clients because I don’t want you to wonder “what’s next” once you book. My guides go over my approach, timeline examples, the legalities, things to consider, and so much more.
For me to be able to document you as you truly are it’ll take a group effort, I could just show up the day of and shoot, but trust me when I say becoming friends first will make you both not only so much more comfortable but like you're just spending time with a friend. When I know you more, and you feel more connected to me in return you’ll see that through the photos.
I believe your wedding day should be about you and your person in the most stress free and intimate way.

The whole process begins the day you inquire with me. Once we see that we’re a perfect match, and you sign a contract securing me for your date, that's when the fun really starts. From there we will get to know each other a lot more. I always send a questionnaire to understand what you hope to receive from your photos. I like to learn what you’re worried about for the day of *to see how I can help in any way* and also what you’re most excited for.
My process broken down and simplified
1.) Inquire, get a response within 24 hours
2.) Sign the contract and pay the retainer, you're all set!
3.) We get to know one another through planning, engagement sessions, questionnaires
4.) Wedding day! I show up to document your day and dance our booties off
5.) Photos delivered and a friend forever within 8 weeks

I will never forget her loading me and my dress into her car after pictures, putting the A/C on high and listening to some rage music after pictures driving to the ceremony - just the two of us blowing off steam. The gallery turned out GORGEOUS. Eric and I took an evening to ourselves and went through every picture like three times over. She is truly talented and captured the important moments and essence of a chaotic day so beautifully. I am honored to consider her a friend and can't wait to book her for our travel anniversary photos! Shelby - you are a freaking genius and I am so so grateful for all your hard work. Shelby is by far simply amazing! My wedding planning turned into a nightmare when we had to completely change our wedding in a month from a out of state wedding to our home state. I was frantic canceling previous vendors & trying to find new vendors in a very short time during a pandemic. I went crazy and started contacting hundreds yes hundreds of vendors.
