Having an elopement in Indiana can be a pretty serious undertaking with a ton of planning involved, but it doesn’t HAVE to be. Annie & Justin’s celebration is a perfect example of how to make the most of your day & keep your celebration simple, stress free, & centered around the love you share. Check out some of the portraits from their elopement at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette, Indiana, & see how they made their simple elopement dream a reality!

Making Their Elopement Happen

When I say Annie & Justin made their elopement simple & stress free I mean it! The two got engaged in early November & decided to elope just 2 weeks later. Rather than spend a ton of time & energy stressing out over every little detail of the planning process, they instead jumped right into it & proved that you can still put together a beautiful elopement experience in a short span of time. Annie had her hair & makeup done the morning of, they had a friend of theirs make their florals, Annie ordered her dress through Amazon, & it all came together perfectly.

We were able to meet up at the wonderful Tippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette, Indiana for their elopement portraits. Afterwards, Annie & Justin went home to have their ceremony at a local County Clerk’s office before snuggling up and enjoying one another’s company the rest of the day! It was exactly the kind of elopement experience Annie & Justin were after, & I’m so happy with the magic we were able to create in such a small amount of time.

Elopement Portraits at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette

Anyone that knows me knows that I am a sucker for elopements at historic locations like the Indiana Statehouse. With that in mind, it should come as NO surprise that I loved taking Annie & Justin’s elopement portraits outside of the Tippecanoe County Courthouse! The towering & historic building acted as a wonderful backdrop for our portraits, & we had the most perfect fall weather to enjoy throughout our time there. Between the newlywed portraits, photos with their son, solo portraits, photos with their puppers, & some family photos, I was able to document Annie & Justin’s love for one another in ways that felt authentic to them. These two have an amazing love that they share with one another, & I’m just so glad that they chose me to be a part of this one of a kind celebration!
