Lauren & AJ’s anniversary photos in Indianapolis are the embodiment of pure joy. These sessions are some of my favorites for a number of reasons, one of them of course though is being able to reconnect with my couples. The astute observer will recognize these two from their engagement session, & I also had the pleasure of documenting their wonderful wedding day. This made their anniversary session all the more fun as it felt like a reunion of longtime friends.
Anniversary Photos Around Indianapolis
Lauren & AJ’s anniversary session began with the two walking around the historic neighborhood of Lockerbie Square. It was a surreal start to their session. Between the sun shining off the clear white snow, Lauren’s fantastic wedding dress from The Wedding Studio, & the infectious love that radiates between these two, everything felt just right.
We opted for an outfit change & a change in scenery for the second portion of their session. Indianapolis’ Highland Park would be our next & final stop for Lauren & AJ’s anniversary photos. I love this area for a sunrise session as the sun peeking through the buildings creates such a wonderful atmosphere. For their second outfit both Lauren & AJ were looking cute & comfortable in their favorite cozy sweaters, the perfect attire for a warm winter session.
What Makes an Anniversary Session So Important
I simply adore Lauren & AJ’s engagement photos in Indianapolis, not only because I love these two, but also because I find these sessions to be so important. They’re an opportunity for you to document what your life is like at this very moment. A lot can change in the first year after marriage, whether it’s something drastic like a new home, or something smaller like a new hairstyle. Either way these changes make up who you are, & as such deserve to be documented. Just like your wedding day, you’re going to love being able to look back on who you were & how you’ve grown together throughout the years.
